That Homeless Guy who never Begged

It was a fall evening, After a usual day at work, while going back to my car, I saw this guy sitting and shivering near the entrance of the parking garage. I didn’t have cash with me but I had an umbrella. I handed my umbrella to him and left not knowing one day I will be forced to write about him. That day, he didn’t ask for money, my assumption about him sitting there for money was obvious but vague at the same time.

He was Selling his Art

The next day, I saw him again with some drawings scattered around him. He was there to sell his art. “He was not begging”. I stopped by and started looking at his drawings that had weird trees and skulls. It was Halloween time. Haha! It took me a while to figure out why he drew those stuff, else my first impression was that he is a troubled guy.

While I figured out about the seasonal sketches he has made, he introduced his art saying — “This is my art gallery outside a parking garage, would you like to buy something from me?”.

As usual, I had no cash with me, I apologized to him and left with a promise that I will buy his drawing the next day. The next day…
